One Health Events Since 2001

A one-day workshop on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Awareness was held on April 16, 2026, at American International University-Bangladesh, jointly organized by AIUB, the Department of Livestock Services (DLS), and the World Organisation for Animal Health under the One Health approach....The event highlighted the growing global threat of AMR, driven by misuse of antibiotics in human healthcare, agriculture, and animal sectors. Emphasizing the One Health concept—which links human, animal, and environmental health, the workshop stressed the need for coordinated, multisectoral action.
