Presentation by Dr. Qijing Zhang at the University of Georgia One Health Discussion series. Dr. Zhang’s research focuses on pathogenic and antibiotic resistance mechanisms of bacteria important for human and animal health. His group recently discovered a hypervirulent C jejuni clone that causes abortion in sheep and foodborne illness in humans.
