Interim BOARD OF DIRECTORS
See below the announcement of Expanded OHC Board 2.0. This webpage will be updated soon with Bios and Photos of Directors joining this Board.
Under the Commission's original Bylaws (2009) the path to Board participation was quite limited.
In 2025 an Adhoc Committee began rewriting the Commission's Constitution and Bylaws. Under the new organizational documents, individuals who possess needed expertise and experience can be invited to serve on the Board of Directors.
December 2025 the Commission announced a call for nominations and applications for individuals to serve on its expanded Board of Directors under its newly forming Constitution and Bylaws. Applications were accepted until March 15, 2026.

Candidates were sought who could span multiple disciplines and who have experience engaging community voices. At least one representative from each of these essential domains are required:
Environmental
Human
Other Animal
Plant
Individuals with expertise and/or experience in research, teaching, policy and/or practice in one or more of the following disciplines were encouraged to apply:
anthropology, biology, communications, ecology, economics, engineering, epidemiology, ethics, health (human, other animal, plant, environment/ecosystem), law, political science, psychology, sociology, and welfare/well-being.
