WHO's WHO in One Health

Organizational Who's Who

Since 2014 the One Health Commission has been working to 'connect' One Health stakeholders by facilitating synergies and collaborations across professions in the One Health space. Activities toward that goal have included hosting:

It is exciting to watch the One Health movement spread around the world and it is important to illuminate One Health leadership actions led by many organizations and individuals. So we have been working since 2014 to compile this Who's Who in One Health map.  We know that it is still incomplete, but it is a start. For example, we have not yet incorporated many activities captured in a 2016 Special issue of the journal  Infection, Ecology, and Epidemiology highlighting One Health Training, Research and Outreach programs around the globe. There are a number of additional publications that will inform this compilation.  We also look forward to putting a pin in the map for individual groups in some of the 'coalitions' like the newly forming One Health-Latino America Coalition.

Please help us make this webpage a tool for showing colleagues and policy makers just how much One Health thinking and acting is being implemented around the world.

This is a global One Health Community effort.

Because we started this work years ago, some of the informational templates gathered in the past and shared here need to be updated. Please help us make this webpage a tool for showing colleagues and policy makers just how much One Health thinking and acting is being implemented around the world.  You can help by doing the following:

  • Review your organization's posting to see if updates are needed.
  • Send us new or updated information on your One Health group or organization. You can use this suggested template to help viewers quickly understand your work. Download the template.
  • Let us know where you see mistakes.
  • Please share this template with other organizations that are leading One Health activities and work that are not yet listed here and encourage them to submit it to cstroud@onehealthcommission.org.

How to be included on this map and webpage:

Demonstrate (on your website and/or in a Who's Who template form) how you/your organization is actively working to implement One Health thinking and acting.Your organization will also be included if it has been a financial supporter of the One Health Commission because that action supports work to make One Health the default way of doing business at all levels of academia, industry, government, policy and research.
