One Health LIBRARY
One of the 'systems' challenges that has inadvertently helped push us into disciplinary / professional silos is our system of publishing research results. While most scientific research is funded with public tax dollars, resulting publications are often published in journals owned by professional associations such that only their members can readily access that information.
Open Access publishing is helping on that front, making sharing of information across disciplines / professions more accessible, but can be quite expensive for authors. If you are an author searching for the best place to submit / publish your research results, you might find useful this list of potential sources of funds hosted by universities, research centers, foundations, or government agencies to support Open Access journals, books, and other kinds of publication.
