We particularly welcomed applications from professionals in low- and middle-income countries and those from underrepresented communities in global One Health leadership.
Nominations and/or Direct Applications were encouraged!
Nominations were closed February 28, 2026 at midnight ET. Applications were received until March 15, 2026 (11:59 pm Eastern).
Over 100 applications from 'highly' qualified One Health leaders around the world were received, so it is taking the Selection Committee some time to reach a decision to fill seats on a very small Board.
Board Terms are staggered so there 'will' be seats opening up going forward each year. Many very qualified Candidates who are not selected this year will be encouraged to apply for future opportunities to serve.
Please be patient as we navigate launch of this very exciting next phase of the One Health
Commission's existence. When finalized, selections will be announced via the OHC
Be sure you are on the listserv to receive this and other announcements as well as the One Health Happenings newsletter that shares updates and news from organizations around the globe that are working to further One Health thinking, acting and decision making.
The One Health Commission is committed to fostering diversity on our Board, reflecting the breadth of our work across disciplines, sectors, genders, races, ethnicities, and geographic regions. If you have questions or need additional information, please contact: OHC@onehealthcommission.org
