One Health Spring Seminar by Dr. Nicolas Chronos, Stanford University

Public lecture by Dr. Nicolas Chronos, Consulting Professor at Stanford University School of Medicine

 

World renowned for his pioneering research in angiogenesis, Dr. Chronos was named Co-National Principal Investigator with Professor Mike Simmons on the FIRST study, the largest human clinical trial of angiogenesis, and also presently serves as Principal Investigator for two large clinical trials that use autologous or umbilical cord stem cells to repair damaged cardiac muscle. His work on the MYOHEART (Myogenesis Heart Efficiency and Regeneration Trial) has received widespread media attention nationwide.

As a faculty member and conference speaker at major conferences and meetings both nationally and internationally, Dr. Chronos is heavily sought after to share his intellectual and practical contributions in the field of cardiovascular medicine and research. In the same regard, he contributes and impacts the community in which he lives. As a caring physician and central force in research, Dr. Chronos is known for making a real impact on real people through close interaction among patients, physicians, scientists and industry.
