Strengthening Global Resilience Through One Health: A 2020 Vision for a Sustainable Future

11/05/2020 - 11/07/2020
Online, Conference

Ohio State established its innovative and high impact Global One Health paradigm in 2019. As we turn into a new decade, the world continues to face emerging and re-emerging communicable diseases as well as a surge of non-communicable hazards at the interface of humans, animals, plants and the environment. In this 2020 biennial conference, we aim to bring global stakeholders (campus, local, state, national and international) together to discuss priority global health capacity needs, recent events and progress towards sustained prevention and control. These activities are accomplished as part of the GOHi strategy of outreach and extension capacity. The objectives of the GOHi conference 2020 include:

  1. Highlight the need for strengthened training, research and outreach capacity to address complex issues pertinent to human, animals, plants and the environment
  2. Foster collaboration for effective and sustained capacity building/strengthening
  3. Showcase the diverse projects GOHi and global partners are working on to make an impact around the world
  4. Bring together key local, state, national and international stakeholders to facilitate knowledge-sharing

Details are being finalized. Registration information will be availble in the coming weeks. Contact globalonehealth@osu.edu with any questions.
