Antimicrobials are used in agrifood systems to enhance animal health, productivity, and crop protection. However, their overuse and misuse can foster resistance and gene transmission between species, posing threats to human and animal health, food security, and environmental integrity. Addressing AMR necessitates collaborative efforts across sectors, including agriculture, public health, and the environment using the One Health approach.
