Hosted by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) in English with French and Spanish interpretation. The event launched General guidelines for surveillance which aim to assist with the development and implementation of a national surveillance programme. The primary target audience for the guidelines are wildlife management and wildlife health authorities, including WOAH National Focal Points for Wildlife, as well as other groups responsible for managing wildlife in protected and conserved areas, Indigenous Peoples, local communities, private landowners, and park and reserve managers. The event also provided an overview of the broader work undertaken by IUCN and WOAH to support the incorporation of wildlife and ecosystem health into the One Health agenda.
