The One Health Social Sciences - Food Safety and Food Security (OHSS-FSFS) is a Small Working Group of the One Health Commission (OHC). It was founded in 2021 as part of the OHC's One Health Social Sciences Initiative and is composed of One Health proponents and enthusiasts from diverse scientific disciplines and continents,
Vision: A Working Group that provides opportunities for individuals to engage in the One Health space through scientific communication and interactions around the social and behavioral aspects of food safety and security.
Aim: The OHSS-FSFS aims to apply the One Health concept and social science approaches to address knowledge gaps and to share best practices in food safety and security for sustainable livelihoods.
OHSS-FSFS has coordinated many webinars where invited experts have shared experiences working across food safety and security topics such as farm biosecurity and gender equity on food security and safety.
