 One Health: A New Approach to the Confrontation of Zoonosis & Vector Borne Diseases, Round table discussion at  the 10th TEPHINET Scientific Regional Conference for the Americas: "Health Security in the Americas: The Challenges of an Interdisciplinary Approach."

Cartagena, Colombia. Hosted by Training Program in Epidemiology and the Public Health Interventions Network (TEPHINET) in collaboration with the National Institute of Health of Colombia. Through presentations, workshops and meetings, trainees and graduates of the FETPs share their work with colleagues and experts from throughout the region related to the management of public health projects and interventions, the investigation of outbreaks of communicable diseases, laboratory practices, as well as access to new technologies and work tools. The conference provides an excellent opportunity to exchange best practices, network with peers, learn from others and acquire new field epidemiology skills that can be put into practice to improve global public health.
