This event is one of a series leading up to the new One Health themed exhibit, Outbreak: Epidemics in a Connected World, opening at the National Museum of Natural History on May 18, 2018.
'The Science of Flu:' is open to the public. Attendees will see birds from the 1918 collection that carried avian flu, engage with experts and scientists on public issues related to influenza, and participate in activities. The event is free but you must register ahead of time to attend.
